TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly announced today that $4,697,713 has been awarded to sexual and domestic violence programs in Kansas through the US Bailout Act of 2021 administered by the Family Violence Prevention and Services (FVPSA).

The funding will help sexual assault support centers transition to virtual/remote support services and increase their capacity to provide services to victims of sexual assault. The funds will also go towards measures to increase access to COVID-19 tests, vaccines and mobile health units to promote public health.

“This funding will help victims of sexual and domestic violence access the support and resources they need, wherever they are in the state,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “We will continue to use all the tools at our disposal to keep Kansans safe and healthy.”
